4:26Now PlayingThe trial in absentia of deposed Bangladeshi leader Sheik Hasina has begun in the capital, Dhaka. She is facing charges of crimes against humanity including incitement and conspiracy after she ordered a crackdown against anti-government protests last year. The trial is being held at Bangladesh’s International Crimes Tribunal -- a court that Hasina herself established. The former Prime Minister is in India where she fled last August. She denies all charges. DW's Beenish Javed provides analysis.
