4:47Now PlayingST. ANTHONY - A local woman is being recognized not because of her medical condition but the way she's handled challenges with her positive attitude and contagious smile.
Tricia Randall has suffered from Muscular Dystrophy for almost twenty years.
She says the disease crept up and started with little issues - like difficulty getting up from the ground and climbing stairs.
In 1996, Randall was diagnosed with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. MDA.org describes Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy as a group of disorders affecting voluntary muscles - targeting those around the hips and shoulders.
Although she needs a scooter to get around, Randall doesn't let the effects of her disease slow her down. In fact, she recently returned from Salt Lake Comic Con.
Randall is the proud mother of two kids - recently married Amber Steinman and Michial Randall.
Randall loves reading, photography, and video games. If she has one complaint, it would be the cold Idaho winters because the weather limits how often she can go outside.
