IDAHO FALLS -- The Idaho Falls Arts Council is pleased to present Donny Osmond in concert on Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. in the Civic Auditorium.

Osmond has sold over 100 million records over five decades and has received 33 gold records. He has had starring roles in Broadway productions of 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat,' 'Beauty and the Beast,' and 'Little Johnny Jones.'

“We jumped at the opportunity to bring an icon of this caliber to our region, an opportunity that would not be possible without the support of the Bank of Commerce and the community as a whole,” said Brandi Newton, Executive Director of the Idaho Falls Arts Council.

In addition, the Council is pleased to announce the 2016-2017 Mainstage Season at the Colonial Theater, as well as two special performances in the Carr Gallery.

The season is now in presales for IFAC Members, as well as anyone purchasing season tickets or multi-show packages. Single show tickets will be available after Sept. 5.

The Mainstage Season includes the following shows:

Oct 1 - Under the Streetlamp

Nov 11 - Letters Aloud – Fame (They’re Not Going to Live Forever)

Nov 19 - Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real

Dec 3 - The Nashville Tribute Band’s Christmas

Jan 13 - The McCartney Years

Feb 24 - Tom Papa

Mar 2 - Michael Martin Murphey

Mar 17 - Menopause – The Musical

Mar 30 - The Young Irelanders

Apr 27 - Olé

“This season definitely has some shows unlike anything else you’ve seen before,” said Newton. “It really demonstrates our dedication to presenting a broad spectrum of performing arts. There is a little something for everyone and we hope you will be willing to take a risk on some new experiences as well.”

The Idaho Falls Arts Council will also be continuing the Living Voices series of historical humanitarian presentations in the Carr Gallery in the upcoming year with the titles Northwest Passages and Journey from the Dust.
