1:44Now PlayingBLACKFOOT -- VO: Sweet, sugary then sweet again, Paisley Cakes in Blackfoot specializes in fulfilling the desires of your sweet tooth.
SOT: “Basically anything sugar. We pretty much take care of,” Owner Lanae Workman says.
VO: Ever since owner Lanae Workman was a child she’s wanted to have a cake shop. For the last three years, she and her husband Michael have made that dream a reality.
SOT: “It really was a hobby for a while, but when I was 12-years-old I decided that, that’s what I wanted to do. I wanted to own a bakery, and I wanted to decorate cakes for a living,” Workman said.
VO: At Paisley Cakes, Workman specializes i n custom cakes. She says they try to match the taste on the inside to the beauty on the outside.
SOT: “Sometimes you can have a really pretty cake that doesn’t taste very good, but we pride ourselves on being able to have a cake that tastes as good, if not better than it looks,” Workman says.
VO: A popular flavor for a custom cake is a the classic vanilla cake with raspberry filling. Workman says she has a lot of unique flavors to offer.
SOT: “There’s so many different flavors, but one of my favorites is strawberry lemonade — Vanilla cake, lemon curd filling, and then a special strawberry frosting. It’s super delicious,” Workman says.
VO: Along with custom cakes there are fun eats like chocolate covered Oreos, chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick, and a tasty drink selection.
SOT: “They make some of the most amazing things,” customer, Ali Shipley said. “My favorite by far is the cheesecake on a stick.”
