Tonight on "Courtroom Insider", we’re diving into the murder of Jared Bridegan.
It's a case involving a roadside ambush, a bitter custody battle and an alleged murder-for-hire plot that has three people facing criminal charges.
Bridegan, a 33-year-old Microsoft senior design manager and father of four, was shot and killed in February 2022 after stopping to move a tire deliberately placed in a dark Jacksonville Beach road. His 2-year-old daughter was strapped into the back seat just feet away when he was killed.
Tonight Nate Eaton is going back to the beginning with the chilling 911 calls, Jared’s complicated relationship with his ex-wife Shanna Gardner, her whirlwind relationship with Mario Fernandez Saldana, and what friends told detectives about the tensions leading up to the murder.
The trial for one of the suspects, Mario Fernandez Saldana, begins Monday, and we'll be streaming the entire trial. Then Shanna Gardner's jury trial is expected to start in September.
