What added fuel to the rumour fire was the announcement of the filmmaker's new project, Dharma Rajya. However, Vimal tells us the multilingual film is very much under production.He says, “I came across a few online portals reporting that Mahavir Karna is likely to be dropped. I don’t understand how people can come up with such speculations. As per our plan, Vikram sir will join the shoot after he completes Cobra and Ponniyin Selvan. Due to uncertainty owing to the pandemic, I thought I would have some time on hand before Karna goes on the floors again, and decided to do another film. So, I announced Dharma Rajya, which is also multilingual.
