The actor attended a film festival event in Delhi when she was reportedly asked if equality in terms of pay will ever be achieved in the film industry. To which she initially gave a funny response saying ‘Ask an astrologer’. Further, answering the question Kajol mentioned how audiences have become ‘much more literate today’ and said ‘India is progressing…They watch a lot of different types of cinema thanks to social media and OTT. We are thinking better, and hoping for better. When you start making a ‘Wonder Woman’ for India and it does equally well as a ‘Pathaan’, then maybe there will be pay equality.’
