2:26Now PlayingAmid the massive box-office success of Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’, the film has now landed in a legal soup. According to reports in a news portal, the makers of the movie have agreed to alter the scene featuring a contract killer wearing the jersey of Royal Challengers Bangalore after an order from the Delhi High Court. The scene shows a contract killer wearing the RCB jersey and making derogatory & sexist remarks about a female character. And the counsel of RCB reportedly contended in the Delhi HC that the usage of its jersey is without its permission and may affect the brand’s reputation, equity and the rights of its sponsors. Reports further stated that the both the parties appeared before the court and agreed to settle the matter outside the court by digitally altering the said scene and also make necessary changes in the theatrical version by September 1, as per court’s orders. ‘Jailer’ is helmed by director Nelson Dilipkumar and it features Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and Tamannaah Bhatia in pivotal roles, apart from Rajinikanth. The film released theatrically on August 10 and has so far made over Rs 607 crore at the global box-office. It has now become the second-highest grossing Indian film of 2023.
