Hema Malini on why Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2', Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' 'are hits'

Actress turned politician Hema Malini recently called OTT platforms a 'time pass' and expressed her views on why films like step son Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 and Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan 'are hits'. In an interaction with PTI, Hema said, "Films on the (big) screen are very different, which we are used to. I'm used to that kind of films... the big screen. So, this OTT and web series are all nice for time pass, but I don't know how wonderful it is. That's why when Gadar 2 and Pathaan and all came on the big screen, they were all a hit. People love to see the big screen, which is different from the small screen." During the same interview when Hema Ji was asked if she is keen on taking up more acting roles, the Dream Girl of Bollywood said, "I would like to do it (films). If I get some nice roles, sure, definitely, why not? I would like all the producers to come forward and sign me. I am there." Recently, Hema Malini also opened up about her daughters Esha and Ahana's reunion with step-brothers Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol at 'Gadar 2' screening. During a conversation with News18 Showsha, she said, 'I am feeling very happy. I do not feel it is something new because it is very normal. Many times they keep coming home and all but we do not publish it anywhere, we are not the type to take pictures and immediately put it up on Instagram. We are not that kind of a family.' The veteran actress added, 'Any problem, we are always together with each other. So, the press got it this time, and it is nice they are happy about it, and I am also happy.'
