Kangana indirectly takes a dig at Alia by saying that no one knew the president of India before 2014

Kangana Ranaut recently responded to a netizen who accused her of lack of knowledge. The actress in a recent interview reportedly said that no one knew who the president of India was before 2014. Sharing her statement, an X user wrote ‘Of course! What can we expect from her? She has been consistent in her lack of knowledge.’ Interestingly, Kangana took notice of her tweet and responded to her saying, ‘Madam it was a pop cultural shock when a certain leading actress on the most popular TV show said Prithavi Raj Chauhan was our then president. Don’t know what is failing you your memory or your common sense, because no one can ever forget that dumb shot of coffee with Karan.’ To give some background, Alia Bhatt had wrongly named Prithviraj Chavan as the President of India in her 2013-appearance in the chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’. Notably, Dr Pranab Mukherjee was the President of India at that time. Replying to Kangana’s post, a netizen commented ‘If someone from Bollywood doesn’t know , it doesn’t mean the whole country is not aware’, whereas another one wrote ‘Madam coffee with Karan is not whole India. Hame Bachpan se maloom hai hamare first President Rajendra Prasad ji the’. On the work front, Kangana will be seen in the film ‘Tejas’ in October. She also has ‘Emergency’, her directorial debut film, slated to release later this year.
