2:13Now PlayingShah Rukh Khan is having one of the best years of his career with back to back blockbusters ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’. In his 30-year career, the superstar has ruled the hearts of all Indians with his charm on-screen as well as off-screen. However, not many know that he was once put behind a police lock-up after misbehaving with a journalist. Yes, you read that right! In his appearance on David Letterman’s OTT chat show, SRK revealed a 1992-incident when he got angry at a journalist for writing a particular article about him. When he asked him to remove the article, the journalist refused to do so. ‘My anger was at its peak’, Shah Rukh reportedly told Letterman and added, ‘So I went straight to his office and started assaulting him. After reaching the office, I created a scene.’ After the incident, the journalist filed a police complaint against SRK and he was allegedly taken to Bandra police station where they put him in jail. Soon after, the actor realised that his actions were wrong and requested the police to let him go. He was reportedly released from the jail on a condition of giving his autograph to the cop. Two years later, Shah Rukh Khan apologised to the journalist after he learnt that the story was not written by him.For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
