Vijay Antony resumes work nine days after his daughter Meera's demise

Tamil actor Vijay Antony whose 16-year-old daughter Meera died by suicide last week has now resumed his work. G Dhananjeyan, producer of his upcoming ‘Raththam’ recently shared some photos of the actor joining the team for their film’s promotion. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, he wrote ‘True example of professionalism, care for his Producers & Audience by @vijayantony sir - supporting our film #Raththam by being a part of promotional interviews with @csamudhan @Mahima_Nambiar today to various channels. A great inspiration & benchmark for the industry, by the man who rises above his personal tragedy to support his Team. Thank you sir’. Reacting to post, there were fans who praised the actor, but a section of netizens expressed that it was too soon for him to resume work after his daughter’s tragic demise. A user wrote, ‘Sir totally respect your good intentions, but when there’s so much stress on the need for mental health, we shouldn’t glorify people working or having to work through unimaginably painful personal losses. Nothing in life is as important as what he’s going thru now’, whereas another one wrote ‘Hats off to the man! I thought they were old videos. Vijay Antony sir is such an inspiration!
