However, the Pakistani actress became a target of negative trolling among some netizens who criticised her for marrying a ‘wealthy man’. One of the X users faced severe criticism for his insensitive remark on Mahira that read, ‘Money can buy you even Mahira Khan’. Replying to his post, a netizen wrote ‘That evil tweet about ‘even money can buy you mahira khan’ oh i hope all men suffer endlessly’, whereas another one wrote ‘Just shows jealousy and yes these men are the one who support polygamy and talk of Islam all the time.’ One of the netizens commented, ‘Desi men be screaming from rooftops for normalisation of polygamy & then having a total meltdown on a divorcée, who has a son, settling down with a man of her stature, in a halal way. Degrading women for every choice she makes is the only way left to reclaim their false manhood.’ Meanwhile, the ‘Raees’ actress is getting a lot of love for her wedding pictures and video that she posted on Instagram. A fan reacted to Mahira’s video by saying ‘This gave me chills. May Allah bless your union, everyone deserves their happily ever after!’
