In the latest, the producer of her film ‘Akelli’, Ninad Vaidya has recalled the harrowing ordeal of the actress in an interview with India Today. He stated that Nushrratt who was in Israel for the screening of the film at a film festival was scheduled to return to India on a 10pm flight on October 7. ‘However, on the 7th morning, I suddenly got a call from Nushrratt asking me ‘You know what has happened’, I wasn’t aware. Then she told me that there had been an attack on Israel’, recalled Ninad. Further narrating, he added ‘Post reaching the airport in that entire chaos Nushrratt’s battery died. So there was no way to connect with her. The Air India flight which was scheduled to leave at 10 pm never reached the country. So, she was stranded there for more than 8 hours. But finally, after hours of waiting she managed to get into a via flight. So she went first to Abu Dhabi and then to India. They figured out the flights themselves because we were not able to get in touch with them. Once they were out of the country we got the communication that they were okay, this was the next day.’
