The Pakistani actress who is today considered as one of the biggest female superstars of the country once cleaned toilets and swept floors. Yes, you read that right! Going by various reports, Mahira was born in Karachi in 1984 and moved to California at the age of 17 for further studies. During her stay in the USA, she did a number of odd jobs to make ends meet. According to reports, the ‘Humsafar’ actress had once told a Pakistani magazine that she made money by sweeping floors and even cleaning toilets of roadside shops. Later, she took up a position of a cashier at a store in Los Angeles. Mahira is known to have started her career in the entertainment industry as a Video Jockey before bagging her debut Pakistani film ‘Bol’. Meanwhile, the 38-year-old was recently in the news for her second marriage with businessman Salim Karim.
