YouTube Description
as posted by the channelJaved Akhtar recently shared that his children, Farhan and Zoya, have been raised in a secular environment at home. Not just that, he revealed that Farhan, in the birth certificates of his daughters, wrote 'not applicable' in the religion box. In an interview with Cyrus Says, the ace lyricist said, 'Both my children are religious atheist people. In fact Farhan, jo uski betiyaan hai unke birth certificate pe religion ke aage likha hai ‘not applicable’. Further, while speaking about the key life lesson he taught his children, Akhtar added, 'I don’t think you can give wisdom in a crash course. That’s not possible. Children don’t do what you tell them to do, they do what you do. They see what are your moral values, what are your ideas, what do you appreciate in life. What is important to you? That somehow, through some process of osmosis goes into them.' The film 'Sholay' writer also stated that the core moral values depend on the environment that children grow up in. In the same conversation, he also disclosed how he found it difficult to write gibberish for the song 'Dard-e-disco' from Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Om Shanti Om' at the request of Farah Khan. 'The director of the film, Farah told me ‘Javed uncle I want a song in which any line does not have meaning because the whole situation is absurd.’ I realized for the first time that to write gibberish is very difficult. I’m happy that it was fairly meaningless', said Javed Akhtar. For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
