Adult films case: Raj Kundra says 'I am a scapegoat...paid price of being Shilpa Shetty's husband'

Bollywood beauty Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra, who was arrested in July 2021 in a case related to alleged creation and distribution of explicit content on mobile applications, is now ready for the release of his debut movie 'UT 69'. The film is based on his jail experiences and is all set to hit the theaters on November 3, 2023. Now, days before the release of his movie, the businessman-turned-actor has opened up on being called 'Porn king' and how he dealt with the social media trolling. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Raj admitted getting 'hurt' after reading such remarks about him and said, 'Of course it hurts. You'd lie if you said it doesn't hurt but I think I watched an interview where Karan Johar revealed how he handles trollers and I'm literally doing it the same way. I'm just so used to them now over the last two years the same cheez on repeat. Whenever my post with a mask goes out on social media, it's just a cut-paste copy of the same thing.' He further added, 'You get used to it after a while. You realize that they know no better and this is their claim to fame.' He also revealed what his wife Shilpa Shetty told him and said, 'Shilpa said, 'Don't complain, don't explain. Just go ahead. You know who you are and what you are. Forget these people.' In another interview, Raj claimed he was a 'scapegoat in all of this'. While talking to CNN News 18 Raj said that the case got highlighted because he is married to Shilpa Shetty. He said, 'A lot of information was misconstrued. Factual information not presented properly. I just feel like the lowest hanging fruit in all that happened. Somewhere down the line, I am collateral damage because I am Shilpa Shetty’s husband. That makes news to them.' Raj called Shilpa the 'love of his life' and asserted that he is 'not guilty of the allegations'. He said, 'I just feel that there is a price I paid to be a celebrity husband. I don’t mind it. I will pay this price time and again because that woman is the love of my life. She also knows somewhere down the line that had I not been Shilpa Shetty’s husband, it would not have been a big news.
