Viral video! Nana Patekar slaps a fan for approaching him for a selfie amid shoot; netizens react

Nana Patekar is making headlines for a viral video which showed him slapping a fan who approached him for a selfie. According to reports, the incident took place in Varanasi where the actor was shooting for his film ‘Journey’. Several netizens have shared their views on the video which showed Nana smacking the male fan on his head as he approached him for a picture, before one of his team members held his neck and dragged him out. Reacting to the video, a user wrote, ‘Showed his true colors. Even though the fan wasn’t right, he shouldn’t have slapped him that hard. Pathetic’, whereas another one wrote ‘Nana patekhar par physical assault ka case kardena chahiye’. One of the netizens commented, ‘That fan can actually sue him for slapping him’, while another one wrote ‘Both of them are wrong, the fan should respect the personal space of an actor and at the same time the actor shouldn't have raised his hands. He could have just said no and let the security escort out the guy.’ Notably, ‘Journey’ is a film directed by Anil Sharma, who helmed ‘Gadar’ and ‘Gadar 2’. Nana plays a pivotal role in the film which also stars Anil’s son Utkarsh Sharma. Earlier in a press conference in Varanasi, the ‘Welcome’ actor spoke about how Varanasi has changed over the years and he is baffled with it. He said that the old Banaras has been lost somewhere and there’s a lot of traffic which turns a 10-minute journey into one hour.
