Mitch McConnell Laughs At Joe Manchin's Efforts To Appease Republicans

Democratic Senator Joe Manchin has been working on a watered down compromise version of the, for the people act for those of you not familiar, the, for the people act was supposed to be the big sweeping voting rights expansion here in the United States, the Democrats were pushing mansion. Wasn't a fan of it. And so mansion says, listen, I'm going to come up with my own compromise bill to get Republicans to support it. Then it has bipartisan support. We can pass it, everybody wins. And then this past week, Mitch McConnell said, I don't know what he's doing, but, uh, we're not

Going to support this thing.

Here's what he said. Um, McConnell said that mansion's proposed alternatives are quote equally unacceptable and totally inappropriate end quote. All Republicans will oppose that McConnell added referring to redistricting reforms and campaign finance disclosure rules that mansion endorsed in a memo, outlining provisions of the, for the people act. He is willing to support a habit and expect to vote on their bill later this month. So basically Mitch McConnell says, we're not supporting any of this. So Hey, it's really great that you went against your own party on this thing and kind of killed their initiative. But, uh, we're not going to support shores either. So what are you doing, Joe? Let's not forget. The reason Joe Manchin did not support the democratic bill is because he claims no Republican supported it. And he's not going to support this thing unless it has bipartisan support. So he's been working as hard as he can coming up with this new legislation.

Then all boy, I'm going to get the Republicans to join in with me. And Mitch McConnell essentially looks at it and laughs because it totally inappropriate. First of all, McConnell goes straight to hell. Second of all, Joe Manchin, you're a moron. Imagine being Joe Manchin for a second. Imagine such a dimwitted buffoon that you've literally just managed to off everybody. You've off your friends. You've off your enemies. You have off people who don't even know you. People who've known you your whole life. Everybody just straight up, freaking out hates you now because you're such an idiot. That's what Joe Manchin is. And this is what he's created for himself. And this is what he deserves. Mitch McConnell made it very clear several weeks ago when he said my goal is to make sure this administration's agenda doesn't get passed no matter what Joe Manchin does no matter, or how many Republicans he meets with no matter how many of his old buddies, as he likes to call them, he talks to, none of them are going to support any of this because their leader is telling them not to do it.

Joe Manchin is on a fool's errand right now, but he's the only one who doesn't realize that he's the fool, but the entire democratic party are going. They'll be the ones who pay the ultimate price
