5:00Now PlayingResidents in the Ohio town of Clintonville are not happy about a group of investors who plan to open a MyPillow store in their city. One of the investors claims that he has been bombarded with angry messages from residents who don't want anything to do with Mike Lindell or his company, but the investors are pressing forward with the plan. This sounds like a great way to lose a lot of money, as Farron Cousins explains.

A group of investors has decided that the, uh, small town of Clintonville Ohio is the perfect place to set up a new my pillow store. It's going to be a store devoted, completely to selling Mike Lindell's my pillow products, and the residents of Clintonville are really not happy about this. And that's actually coming from one of the investors, a man by the name of Jason Hannah, Hannah says that he has been called a terrorist and insurrectionist and a pedophile for backing this project. The nastiness started shortly after the sign went up around August 15th, which triggered a volley of hostile exchanges. But Hannah admitted to fueling the fire by calling one of his online critics, a little girl, but he's defending the store claiming it's not political. I liked this product before Trump came into office. He, he said, cool. That's, that's really cool of you. Um, you do realize how toxic Michael and Dell is, right? I mean, the guy's a total
Fraud and only the most
Hardcore of the manga hat wearers actually believe anything he has to say. And I don't know that there's enough of them in Clintonville, Ohio to keep a store devoted solely to my pillow products in business and see that's the point. Like I'm actually not happy that these residents in Clintonville are going after these investors telling them that they hate this idea. Like guys just shut up. Seriously, just shut up about it.
For real, let them open the stupid store, let
Them open it. I promise you it'll be out of business by the end of the year. If not, then probably a couple months after that, this is a huge opportunity for these investors to lose a ton of money for backing this loser. So stop putting up the opposition. You don't want to buy as pillows. Fantastic. I'm with
You on that. Don't go to the store
Because again, are there seriously enough manga folks in Clintonville, which I don't know the demographics, but I have to imagine that even if it's, you know, 70% Republican, 80% Republican, how frequently are these people going to be buying pillows and mattress toppers and all those other things to keep this store in business when there are literally other stores like that available, right? It's not like there is a shortage in the market for pillows and mattresses and sleep products. Okay. We have plenty of them.
So let them open their store.
In fact, stop with the nasty exchanges and start sending them messages saying, oh, hell yeah, I can't wait for this to open. This is going to be awesome. Encourage them, make them think that this is a wonderful idea so that when it opens and nobody comes, they just start hemorrhaging money, which by the way is essentially what Mike Lindell's MyPillow is doing right now. You know, they've been banned from bed bath and beyond Kohl's Wayfair. And I think if you know, a dozen, at least other stores, most networks are no longer even running his advertisements. He pulled his own advertisements, all Fox news because they made him mad. So he can't even advertise anymore. Let them continue to waste money,
Vote with your wallet. If you want
Michael and Dell to go under, don't buy his products. If you think these investors are making a bad decision, let them lose all that money on this store because eventually what could happen is something similar to what happened with Papa. John's when they realized that John Schnatter was basically poisoned for the brand board of directors, stepped in and said, listen, we know this is your company,
But you got to go, you're killing us
And we're kicking you out. Now. I don't know the corporate structure of my pillow if there is a board of directors, but clearly now that they have outside investors coming in a situation like that does become possible because investors want a return on their investment. And if they
Don't get it, they're going to be angry and they may do something about it. So again,
Stop the hate. Stop the angry emails, let them open this store and lose a ton of money. Use capitalism in this instance to your advantage and send them a clear message that they backed a loser.
