Donald Trump is now the subject of yet a, another criminal probe also in the state of New York. But this time not in the city of New York, this one is up in Westchester, New York, where the district attorney there, Mimi Roca, uh, we'll get more to her just the moment. But Mimi Roca has opened a criminal probe, not quite an investigation, but a criminal probe into Donald Trump's golf resort in Westchester. And she's trying to find out whether or not the Trump organization that owns the golfers out there has been lying to local officials about the value of the property in order to pay lower property tax rates in Westchester. Now, this has actually been a hot button issue in Westchester for many, many years now, back in 2017, there was actually a small demonstration of locals in Westchester, uh, where they showed up basically picketing demanding that Donald Trump and the Trump organization pay their fair share in taxes because every year they had been going to court and challenging their tax bill saying, oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, you've overvalued our golf resort.

This thing is basically worthless. And so we should be paying fewer taxes, basically 90% lower taxes than what they were. So only paying 10% of what they had been. Um, and so of course the da says, yeah, you've been saying a lot of things about how not valuable this property is to, you know, officials, but you've also been telling others that this place is worth up to $50 million. That's what he claimed when he first ran for president in 2016, he said the property is worth $50 million, but he told local officials that property was worth only $1.4 million. So, you know, I mean, we're talking about a $48.6 million discrepancy, which of course would result in a lot more property taxes. So he's being dishonest to someone. The question is who, because if it's just on his, you know, to the public, then sure you can lie to them all day long.

But if you're lying to officials about things that change your tax rate, then that's illegal and yes you could and should, and hopefully will be prosecuted for that. If, of course the investigation proves that you've been lying to officials about the worth of the property. Local officials have put the worth of the property, the value of the property, I guess at 15 million, again, Trump is claiming 1.4, but he's also said in his disclosure forms, it's worth 50. So a lot, lot of wiggle room between those three entities there now, maybe Roca, right? Okay. The district attorney there, Mimi Roco was formerly an MSNBC legal analyst. And during her time at MSNBC, she obviously was no fan of Donald Trump. And she came out hard against him on many occasions. And Trump could easily use that to his advantage. We've already seen him go out there with these other investigations and lawsuits and try to claim that they are political witch hunts.

Well, now you've got a da looking into you for really legit reasons. Don't get me wrong. I think this whole thing is totally legit, but you also have records of her at MSNBC on national television attacking him. So it's not going to be difficult for Trump and his lawyers to at least paint a picture showing that this is a completely, you know, partisan investigation. However, on the other hand of that, Roca is actually playing it very smart. She has not listed any particular individuals, uh, as part of the investigation, not even the Trump organization itself, all we know is that the investigation is taking place and it's not even an investigation yet. It's just a probe. They're just looking at documents to make sure everything is square. She has not accused anyone of anything. She has not said. I believe these people are. No, she hasn't said any of that.

So she is playing it smart. She's playing it. Quiet, trying to make sure that Donald Trump doesn't come out and try to claim this as another partisan political witch hunt. He's going to eventually do that no matter what, but at the end of the day, we already know what you've claimed to the county, that that property is worth. We know what the county says, the property is worth. And we know what you've put on your financial disclosure forms that that property is worth.
