Matt Gaetz Blocked From Practicing Law In Florida

Matt Gaetz's bad week continued to get worse, as it was announced at the end of the week that he had been blocked from practicing law in the state of Florida due to delinquent accounts. This actually isn't the first time that this has happened to the Congressman, and his failure to maintain proper reporting efforts to the State Bar shows how little he actually cares about rules and responsibilities. This has been, uh, to put it very mildly a hell of a week for Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz, obviously all of the new developments with his scandal kind of rocked Monday through Friday, but then also on Friday, totally not related to his scandals, believe it or not, there was more bad news for Matt Gaetz. And that news was that he has been blocked from practicing law here in the state of Florida due to delinquency of his dues. What that means is that Matt gates has failed to pay his dues, to remain an active lawyer here in the state of Florida. And in fact, he didn't even pay his dues to remain an inactive lawyer here in the state of Florida. So the state bar has officially blocked his legal license. Now, all he would have to do is pay the money to have it renewed for another year.

You know, not a big deal, but this isn't the first time this has happened to Matt gates, where he's failed to pay his dues. He was delinquent in 2019, so they blocked him. Then he paid, got it back 20, 20 delinquent. Then they blocked it. He paid, he got it back 2021 didn't pay blocked, but his campaign says they're probably gonna leave it. He is, uh, moved on to other things they say. And you know, doesn't really care about practicing law because they say, look, he's not representing client clients in court. He is representing constituents in Congress. He's he's out there fighting for us. And to that, I say, what the hell is Matt gates, Don in Congress? I literally, without looking it up, can anybody tell me anything Matt gates has done while serving as a United States congressmen to benefit literally anyone, especially his constituents down here in Florida, his first congressional position, the guy has done nothing.

So don't come at us with a bunch of BS that, oh, well now he's, he's just, he's not fighting in court. He's fighting in Congress for, you know, he's not doing a thing for any of us other than himself. And before you start to think, well, you know, that's paying a lot of money for a law license. You're not gonna use hundred and $65 a year. Gates is from a wealthy family gates as wealthy himself hundred and $65 a year to remain an inactive lawyer, but have your law license basically there for when you need it. 165 bucks is nothing. Something bigger is happening. A hundred percent firmly believes something bigger is happening. And here's what it could be. This is my guess. Okay. If he were to get convicted in the investigation that he is currently facing with an active law license, the state bar would likely vote to disbar him.

And therefore he would be forbidden from practicing law, basically anywhere where he is licensed. But if he lets that law license expire and it doesn't have to go before a vote because he's no longer a lawyer, he doesn't technically get disbarred. See? So Matt gates must think something bigger is on the horizon and maybe it's criminal charges. Hell maybe it's leaving Congress and taking a job in the media, which is clearly what that guy wants to do. That's why he started his new video podcast. And I guarantee you, if he were to leave Congress, just do that podcast full time on YouTube. The guy would be rich, rich beyond his wildest dreams. And he'd also be famous among the, uh, conservative circles, which is what he wants. So that could also be the explanation. Maybe he's not afraid of going to jail and being disbarred.

Maybe he's just like, screw it. I don't need to be a lawyer. I barely did any law practicing before I entered politics. Anyway. So what's the point? Well, the point is it's very unusual for even retired lawyers to not keep that license renewed, at least inactive at $165 a year. So, you know, what's the bomb, sorry, it's 1 75 a year. It's 2 65 to remain active and most again, even retired lawyers that are not practicing at all will still pay the fees just in case. But Matt gates seems to be cutting those ties permanently. And to me that suggests that he's got other plans in mind. They could be good or they could be bad, but he knows he's not going to be using that legal license ever again.
