4:28Now PlayingDuring a recent conversation with Alex Jones, Marjorie Taylor Greene whined about the fact that she is basically "working for free" because of the amount of money she has forfeited from her salary because of the fines she's received for refusing to wear a mask. She says that she's suing Nancy Pelosi over this, but courts have already upheld the fines in the past. She has no one to blame but herself, as Farron Cousins explains.

Recently at a, what appears to be a dinner that Marjorie Taylor green was having with Alex Jones that somehow turned into an on camera interview, green wind about the fact that she's lost so much darn money because of all those mask fines that she did to herself, that she is now effectively working for free. Take a look at this very short clip of Marjorie Taylor green whining to Alex Jones about what's happening here. Here it is
Funds, but yet they take the money straight outta my check. So I work for free in Congress because they took all take all my money away.
Wow. But you're standing up for what's. Right? So they
Now, as she says, in the clip, they do take the money directly outta their paycheck, X you know, they have the authority to do that. So it's not like she gets paid and then has to write, you know, a, a check for the fines. No, no, no. She don't even get the money at all. Which I love that is the best way to do this. But here's the problem. Marjorie, you have said yourself and Alex Jones hinted at it at the end of that clip, that you're doing this to make a stand, to show that we're not gonna be oppressed by these Democrats in Congress. So if you're doing it to make a stand, if you're making some kind of political statement, you don't get to wh about how you are negatively impacted by it, by your own decision to take a stand that actually doesn't even affect you at all right.
Marjorie Taylor greets a multi-millionaire folks. And I think a lot of people forget that you think she's just this back woods, folksy, ignorant individual. She is a multi-millionaire okay. She, first of all, doesn't even need the, the money from the salary. So this is all performance. This is her, her just trying to gain some sympathy, showing, look what I'm sacrificing for you. Even though this doesn't affect you because you are not in Congress. So you don't have to abide by these mask mandates and pretty much all over the country. Now they've been lifted in most areas of the country. We never even had 'em to begin with I'm in Florida. We never had, 'em never private businesses. Sure. Some of them, but even then around here, it wasn't enforced because our governor made it to where you illegally couldn't enforce 'em. So I'm from an area that never had mask mandates.
I still wear a mask, even though I'm triple Xed and I'll continue to do it probably forever because I like it. I don't like having to awkwardly smile at people. It's nice. You know, don't have to worry about your breath or anything either. And you get the mask on. It's great. I haven't had a cold or a sinus infection in two years. I love it. And I hope to stay that way. So yeah, I'm gonna keep doing it, but I'm also not gonna complain about it because again, it's my choice to do it. Same thing with Marjorie Taylor green here, you knew the consequences of your actions. You chose to do it anyway, because you said you were making a stand, making a statement by not wearing the mask. So you don't get to go wh to Alex Jones that I don't get
A paycheck because you take it out and you go and
Fail. That's your choice. You could literally stop this performance right now and you wouldn't lose any more money from your paychecks, but you won't do it because you're a. That's, what's at the heart of all of this. You are just a, Marjorie Taylor green, and you are inflicting all of this pain upon yourself and then whining about it to anybody willing to listen. But again, don't shed a tear for poor MTG. She got millions of dollars, a highly successful business that she bought from her parents. She's gonna be just fine. She's doing this because she knows she doesn't need the money folks. So don't shed a tear for her little performance here. It's all an act. It's all totally staged. And she's doing it to try to prove to everybody else that she is making the ultimate sacrifice for on an issue that doesn't affect them. And with consequences that don't affect her.
