4:56Now PlayingA new documentary has revealed previously-unseen footage of Donald Trump's ally Roger Stone, and Trump isn't going to be too happy about it. At one point in the video, Stone says that Donald Trump was the "single greatest mistake" America ever made, a claim that surely will get under Trump's very thin skin. Farron Cousins discusses these new revelations.

On Friday, the Washington post released a massive, massive article, which really read more like a, uh, beginning of a series, I guess you would call it on Roger Stone. One of Donald Trump's closest allies, one of the oldest Republican dirty trickster here of the United States. And specifically, they were talking about a foreign documentary that was being made about Roger Stone and this documentary, uh, documentary crew, excuse me, happened to be following Roger Stone on the day of January 6th. Then of course, the days before and after that. So in a dish to catching Roger Stone, watching all of this transpire on TV, then frantically packing up his suitcase to go hop on a private jet and get the hell out of Washington, DC. They also caught Roger Stone saying something that I bet he wishes. Now he hadn't said. And that was that, uh, a quote Donald Trump being elected president was quote the greatest single mistake in American history.
The greatest single mistake in American history electing Donald Trump. And this comes from Trump's friend. This comes from the guy that Donald Trump, pardon Donald Trump saved you from prison. Roger, and you still are trashing him on camera. Now, according to the Washington post stone then told the camera crew, uh, if you ever show that to anybody, I'll kill you. I mean, that's literally, oh, I'm sorry. Obviously, if you use any of that, I'll me murder you. Sorry. He didn't want to take him outta context. Obviously, if you use any of that, I'll murder you as what he says. So, you know, same vibe, I guess. Uh, but he also said that Trump was a fool for not pardoning himself. And here's what he said about that. A good long sentence in prison. Give Trump a chance to think about it because the Southern district is coming for him and he did nothing, of course, referring up to the, uh, investigations, taking place in New York. So biggest mistake America's ever made show anybody this and I'll kill you. And Trump is definitely he going to prison.
I mean, I, I don't think it's wise to, and I know he was joking. Roger Stone was not actually going to murder these people. It's a joke. We have seen other people do this on camera. Like, oh, you show anybody that, oh, I'm gonna come for you. Trust me. I, I I've helped produce things like that in the past. People say things like that all the time. That's nothing. I take that seriously at all. Single greatest mistake in American history though, from Donald Trump's ally. I don't know. I think that says a lot. I'm gonna disagree with you. I do not think Trump was the biggest mistake that America has ever made. Let's let's be real about that. We've done some horrible things over the years. We've done some horrible things in the last, you know, 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, 40, like literally much worse things have happened than Donald Trump.
Electorally. On the other hand, you may have a case to make there, right? Trump may be the worst person we've ever put in the white house. Although I think George W. Bush would have something to say about that because, uh, it's pretty neck and neck in that competition. The final thing Trump should have pardoned himself. Right? Well, I'm glad he didn't. And I hope he does pay a very stiff price for it. But the big question now is what's Donald Trump gonna do this is all out there in the ether. Are we gonna get the statement? Are we gonna get, you know, one of those little written out things that has to be shared on Twitter because he's not on Twitter, God knows he's not using his own social media site to spread things. So how is up going to respond to his dear close friend, Roger Stone saying that he's the biggest mistake in American history. Stone has already come out and said, Hey, Washington, post, you've got some stuff wrong here. Uh, totally didn't happen that way, but you can't argue with the camera footage, Roger. It exists. It's there. The Washington post has seen it and probably pretty soon the entire world is gonna see it as well. And at that point, you're gonna have some explaining to do to good old Donny boy.
