4:09Now PlayingRepublican Lawmaker Lauren Boebert just can't stop herself from being an embarrassment. During a recent appearance on Fox News, Boebert tried to land a zinger against the Biden administration, but she fumbled her analogy so badly that everyone focused on her gaffe and not her message. Farron Cousins talks about this ridiculous stunt, and goes ahead and debunks the point Boebert clumsily attempted to make.

Folks, I gotta tell you. And I speak from experience here. There is nothing worse when bad things happen to good analogies and Republican representative Lauren Boebert fell victim to her own, you know, lack of knowledge, I guess we can call it when she tried to pull off an analogy at the Biden administration during a recent appearance on Fox news and as per usual, fell flat on her face and embarrassed herself in front of the entire country. So take a look at Lauren BT here, trying to, uh, land a zinger against Joe Biden. Here it is
Work, not OPEC. And I don't know who's running the federal government these days, uh, Joe Biden or prince John, uh, from, uh, uh, prince John, but they're taxing us into poverty.
Look, Robin hood, Robin hood is the story that you were trying to think of prince John from Robin hood. And I'm sure you were most like referring to the Disney version with the cartoon animals, right? Um, of course there is some historical accuracy to all of that. Anyway, however, that's kind of funny, right? You know, is prince John from, uh, prince John, cuz cuz we all know immediately you were talking about prince John and what's great about it is that she was trying to make this totally fictitious claim that the Biden administration is somehow just taxing us to death. Like prince John did in Robinhood. I fixed your analogy for you. There is what I just did. Um, but even that's not true. That's the funniest part. Like you tripped yourself up trying to say something that wasn't real like where the hell are all these taxes from the Biden administration.
Right? All we know is that the 2017 Republican tax cuts the last major overhaul of the tax system here in the United States are still in place. You know, most of the tax cuts by the way, for those of us regular folk out there have expired. We only got those for two years. So though ex they expired about a year or two ago. Uh, but for the wealthy elite, no, they still got all their tax breaks. And so far the Democrats have not passed any legislation that is going to significantly raise taxes on anybody in this country. Meanwhile, Republicans are facing an uphill battle after Rick Scott's agenda was revealed to raise the taxes on the low lowest 40% of income earners in the United States buy about a thousand dollars a piece. So you wanna talk about a party raising taxes on people who already can't afford it.
You need to look at your own party, Lauren, cuz that is literally Republican Senator Rick Scott's plan. Not Biden's Biden's not raising taxes on anybody. Now I know there's been proposals obviously in the build back better act, which Joe mansion reminded us again. This week is totally 100% dead to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans and corporations, but that's not happening cuz mansion cinema won't let it happen. So nobody's raising taxes here. So what exactly are you even trying to say with your little failed embarrassing analogy? None of it's true. Not happening. Didn't happen. Hasn't happened probably won't happen. Alarm B doesn't care. And honestly the Fox news audience probably couldn't even pick up on that because she stumbled so badly trying to make this, this joke or analogy or metaphor, whatever you want to call it here. And luckily this time America was actually saved by Lauren bobbers stupidity because had she been able to get that out? She would've been telling a bald face lie that most of that Fox news audience would've bought without question.
