Marjorie Taylor green has apparently decided that jokes are only funny when you're making fun of somebody else that isn't her. And she proved it this week. By according to her filing a police report with the capital police over a joke that Jimmy Kimmel told on his show earlier in the week. So here's what happened. Marjorie Taylor green of course, had come out on Twitter and accused any Republican voting in favor of judge Kangi, brown Jackson for the Supreme court, uh, of being pro uh, child sexual abuse. We'll put it that way. Um, and so Jimmy Kimmel read this idiotic tweet on the air and this is what he said, Marjorie Taylor, uh, green, this clan mom is especially upset with the three Republican senators who said they'll vote. Yes. On judge Kangi, brown Jackson, who is nominated for the Supreme court. Um, so he reads the tweet and then he says, wow, where is will Smith when you really need him? Huh?

That's the joke where's will Smith when you need him. Of course, referring to will Smith getting up on stage at the, a Oscars and slapping Chris rock. So sure. The implication is that Jimmy Kimmel was joking about Marjorie Taylor green getting slapped well, green freaked out. And according to her again, she has filed a complaint with the capital police saying, investigate this. This is a call for violence against me. Something that I've literally done to other people too called for violence against them, or accuse them again of being pedophiles. But this is a bridge too far. You can't joke about me being slapped by will Smith without getting a fricking police report. Jimmy Kimmel has laughed this off and made more jokes about it because that's what Jimmy Kimmel does. And he does a very good job at it. And honestly, at this point, I kind of wish these politicians, you know, whether it's Marjorie Taylor green or Lauren Bobert or Ted Cruz, stop picking fights with Jimmy Kimmel because you don't win.

But my God, somebody makes a single little tiny joke about you and suddenly all hell breaks loose, and you want them arrested.

I thought the Republicans were the party of free speech, right? Do we not have freedom of speech for satire? Freedom of speech for telling a joke, oh no, Marjorie Taylor green wants the attention. That's why she did this. She knows she's not gonna win this fight. But I think what she's hoping to do is maybe scared Jimmy Kimmel enough to win, or he won't tell any more jokes about her. And sure, as we know with comedians, calling them out for their jokes, definitely always makes them change their behavior. Right?
