Fox News ceo, Suzanne Scott in the days and weeks and whatever following the 2020 election, told other folks at Fox News to quote, Well, she said, quote, We can't give the crazies an inch.
This information was revealed this week during a hearing in which Dominion Voting Systems was seeking employment records for some folks at Fox News as part of their ongoing defamation lawsuit against the network. And they decided to reveal this little nugget of information from, again, Fox News ceo, Suzanne Scott, saying, We can't give the crazies an inch. And guess who the crazies were folks, in case you hadn't figured that out yet, they were the election deniers. Because in addition to Suzanne Scott saying, you know, don't give the crazies an inch, which basically means don't put crazy people on the air right now, you also had Rupert Murdoch, Locklin Murdoch also advising against putting these people on the air. The election deniers like Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani, because they understood the high opposite. Fox News understood that this information was false and possibly defamatory, which is why they're facing a pretty massive defamation lawsuit.
And here's what's even more interesting after Dominion introduces this in court and says, Hey look, we got a statement. We got evidence showing that the CEO of the network knew these people were crazy. Do you know what Fox News's lawyer did? Nothing. He didn't deny it at all. Didn't deny any of that. All he said was, I don't see why they need our, our employment records. That just seems, you know, kind of trivial. Why do they need it for defamation suit? And then the judge said, I don't know, but I'm gonna let 'em have it. So Dominion, of course, wins again, you know, a, a minor victory, right? They're just getting the employment records. I personally, I don't even know like why you need that for the defamation suit, but Dominion apparently put up a good enough argument to why they need them and they're getting them.
Fox is screwed, like Fox is so screwed at this point. Let me read this. Um, for days after the election, Trump and his top AIDS demanded the network resend its announcement of Biden's victory in Arizona, even pressuring the network's controlling owners, Rupert and Locklin Murdoch. In the weeks that followed a cadre of Fox News stars hosted Trump's advisors and even Trump himself to pedal baseless conspiracy theories of election fraud. Many of those false claims asserted without evidence that Dominions technology and machines had been used to rig the vote and to cheat Trump outta the White House, Senior Fox News executives interceded to try to block Fox Business Stars l Dobbs and Maria Barta Romo from having Trump Trump's campaign attorneys, Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani on their shows to repeat such lies in late 2020. Dobbs and Barter Romo hosted Trump's advocates to make those accusations. To me, this is open and shut already,
Right? The trial's not supposed to start until April, but I don't even know that we get to that point because this is pretty obvious. I mean, Dominion has done their homework. They did a phenomenal job during discovery. They've got the documents, they've got the statements from the higher ups, They've got the orders. Don't put these crazy people on the air. Fox News did it. Anyway, that's a clear cut case in my book of being able to prove actual malice. The high ups knew that these claims were false. They knew that these people, in their own words were crazy. They told the people not to put 'em on, that people put 'em on. Anyway, Fox News didn't do anything. That seems like actual malice to me, but that's gonna be up to the jury to decide, unless of course Fox News is able to come up with a decent settlement for Dominion before April rolls around. I guarantee you there, uh, uh, lawyers are working on it because at this point they have to be looking at this and realizing we have no defense in this case because we're getting screwed by our own statements and our own documents.
