Trump Attacks 'Sloppy' Chris Christie After He Said Trump Can't Win Against Biden

Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie took a shot at Donald Trump this past weekend, saying that he doesn't think he stands a chance against Biden in 2024. Trump fired back, calling Christie "sloppy" and then exaggerating Christie's low approval numbers. Trump isn't used to these kinds of attacks from fellow Republicans - certainly not during a campaign - but he'd better find a way to counter as they continue to mount. It was quite the weekend for Donald Trump who was attacked by a current Republican governor and a former Republican governor showing that, yeah, you're gonna have a tough go of it as you run for president a third time. What really kicked things off, however, was former New Jersey Republican governor Chris Christie, who during an appearance on a, b, C on Sunday morning, said that Donald Trump basically cannot win an election against President Biden. That, of course, Donald Trump off. So Donald Trump gets on truth social, and I'm reporting this like a middle school kid who saw a fight. But for you, I guess it's like breathing, you literally cannot stop yourself from doing this. So Chris Christie fought back and he said, I'm the target of Donald Trump's new tantrum. None of his lies about me today bothered him when he asked me to prep him for every general election debate, or offered me three different cabinet posts.

Whew. Aren't you, aren't you glad that we live in such a mature country like Chris Christie could be a Republican, uh, uh, hopeful for the 2024 nomination? Donald Trump, of course, is already a hopeful for the 2024 nomination. And this is what we've reduced it to. Bunch of middle school minded children fighting with one another, saying, no, you liked me. I didn't like you. No, I I didn't like you, you liked me. This is ridiculous. But this is American politics. I have kids in middle school, and I can promise you they're far more mature

And again, Chris Christie is actually correct because yes, he was the individual that they called upon to do those little mock debates with Donald Trump while he was prepping for his debates with Hillary Clinton. Donald Trump repeatedly depended upon Chris Christie. And of course, there was talk about him getting a cabinet position, why that fell through. I don't know. And Trump, if you're mad that he suggested Chris Ray for the fbi, and you're like, how did that work out? I don't know. Why don't you tell us? You're the guy who appointed him anyway. Like you did that, blame somebody else for it. You're the guy that appointed him. You didn't have to take his advice. So that's also on you. Um, as I mentioned, you also had New Hampshire Governor, Republican, Chris Nunu, whose name is also being floated as a hopeful for 2024.

He came out, said the same thing this past weekend. Trump can't beat Biden. And look, the polls right now are all over the place. They're, they're changing every single week because we're so far out. Some polls do show Trump beating Biden. Most polls show Biden beating Trump. But I think at the end of the day, both these, uh, you know, Republican wannabes, Christie and San Nunu, I think they're right. I don't think Trump beats Biden. However, anything can happen, right? We cannot predict the future, especially in politics anymore. It's not as simple as it once was.
