Republican Aide Trashes Marjorie Taylor Greene As 'Cartoon Supervillain'

A lot of Republicans from both the House and the Senate are still embarrassed about Marjorie Taylor Greene's behavior at the State of the Union last week, and one Republican aide went as far as to call her a "cartoon supervillain." It didn't help that she was dressed like Cruella Deville - something many people on Twitter pointed out. For most of this year, up until it was seven days ago, the media had told us that Marjorie Taylor Green was basically undergoing this makeover, right? She was becoming a new person. She went on Fox News and said she doesn't believe the cue stuff anymore. She had just been sucked into things online, like so many people. She really gave the appearance for those stupid enough to believe it, that she was turning over a new leaf, that she was gonna be a, a more moderate Republican, that she was, you know, siding up with Kevin McCarthy and disavowing the crazy people like Lauren Boberg and Matt Gates. Like, I don't even know you guys anymore. I'm a new person. I am a changed woman. And then of course, the state of the union happened on Tuesday, and we were all reminded that, oh no, wait. There you are.

All of that makeover talk was a complete and total sham because you're just as extreme and crazy as you've always been, and it didn't go unnoticed by Republicans in Congress. So late last week, the Daily Beast runs a piece talking about the Republican reaction from inside Congress to Marjorie Taylor Green's outburst during the State of the Union. And I have to read this one quote here from a disgruntled G o p staffer is how they're described. They said, quote, I don't think someone who looks and acts like a cartoon super villain heckling the president on national television is the best representative of the Republican Party. It goes on to say, you know, Dan Crenshaw almost appeared physically ill, placing his hand over his face at certain points during green's outbursts in a seeming mix of disgust and exasperation. Um, there were other Republicans who were rolling their eyes.

Uh, you had Josh Hawley, it says, hardly one to criticize conservatives for their antics. Expressed some reservations about House Republicans heckling the president. He said the outbursts weren't helpful, but you know, sadly, I think it's a trend. Uh, Republican representative Doug Lamaha from California said that needs to be called out and just, uh, it's kind of like how it looks in the British Parliament. You know, they're pretty active here, uh, there, but we shouldn't be doing name calling and stuff. So Republicans across the board are like, eh, this, this is crazy. We don't like this. But it's that one disgruntled staffer, as they were call Cartoon super villain, which of course many people on Twitter pointed out that she was basically dressed like cruel Deville during the, uh, state of the Union, but saying that this cartoon super villain is probably not the best representative of the Republican Party. You're banning books down here in Florida with Ron DeSantis teachers pulling their personal libraries outta their classrooms so they don't get hit with felony charges. You've made it legal in multiple states, including my home state of Florida, here to run over protestors. If they're in the street, like that's cartoon super villain, like, ha ha, mow them down with your vehicle, we're cool with that. You won't face any charges. That's evil. And that is who you are. You are the people who deny reality, who believe that you are being persecuted by social media companies when in reality, we learned last week at the hearings, oops. It was Donald Trump's government that wanted his critics silenced on Twitter and they reached out multiple times along with other Republicans in Congress to censor people's tweets.
