Mike Pence Hit With Subpoena By Special Prosecutor

This is a massive step forward in the investigation, as Pence was the central figure that REFUSED to go along with the plan to disqualify certain electors. It was announced late this week that former Vice President Mike Pence, has now been hit with a subpoena by special prosecutor Jack Smith, who of course is the guy appointed by the DOJ to investigate all of Donald Trump's, uh, election interference. It is unclear at this point what exactly the subpoena wants from him, but a source did tell a b, c news that the subpoena is seeking both documents and testimony related to Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election results. Now, here's what's very interesting about this. A subpoena is a legal, you know, compulsion to come and testify and provide information, right? Like you can't get out of it. But Pence's legal team had been working with the doj, with the special prosecutor for months trying to hammer out the details of Pence's level of cooperation. If things were going Pence's way and the DOJ was satisfied with his level of cooperation, they would not have sent a subpoena.

That's the part of the story that right now, I think every story I've read about this has missed. They had been working with Smith for months trying to figure out how, what, where Pence was gonna cooperate, if he was gonna cooperate at all, if they had reached an agreement, if Pence was being cooperative, they would not have sent the subpoena. So this subpoena is more than just, oh boy, we're gonna get Mike Pence's, uh, uh, uh, take on everything. This is an indication, at least in my estimation, that Mike Pence has not been cooperating. That's not a good sign. We, by we, I mean kind of the, the public, uh, legal experts, they all kind of thought that Pence would be the smoking gun. You know, he was the guy at the epicenter of all of this who refused to his credit, to go along with the plan to throw out certain state electors and replace them with the pro-Trump electors in, in this one instance like Pence did. Nothing wrong. So why not fully cooperate? Why do they have to send a subpoena to you? Now, there could be several different reasons here. If Pence was not willing to give up information and documents testimony, uh, willingly to the point where the DOJ had to send a subpoena, it could be because Pence who, you know, clearly wants to run for president, doesn't want to be seen as the turncoat, because obviously Republicans will use that against them,

And he, he will stand no chance in a future election. So that could be reason number one, why he didn't wanna fully cooperate and why they had to send the subpoena. Reason number two, and this is way far out there, but I'm gonna throw it out just to, you know, in case it could be that the DOJ did reach a deal with Pence and the deal was that they were going to issue the subpoena to give it the appearance, and of course, the legal authority that he had no choice but to cooperate. That might lessen the blow with, you know, the MAGA base, the, the Republicans who still like Trump. If Pence was seen as having no choice but to turn over documents, we don't know. We likely will never know. But Pence's cooperation in this is pivotal. He is the one who told people no, but he is also the one who was a part of all of the conversations telling them no, he knows who told him what and when they told him that those are relevant things that Jack Smith will have to get to the bottom of. So we will see what happens when and if he complies with this subpoena.
