Over the weekend, in between his meltdowns, Donald Trump posted an image on Truth Social featuring the new look of those commemorative United States passports. It is Donald Trump sitting there scowlling back at the person looking at the passport. and it contained a very odd message. The new US passport says from Donald Trump, "Welcome, but be good."
Right? All you foreigners coming into the United States with your United States passport, we're glad you're here, but you'd better be good. Foreigner with a US passport. Now, obviously, US passports are not given to foreigners. No, you have to be a United States citizen to get a US passport. So the message welcome but be good is not going to people coming into the United States. It's going to people who live in the United States. We're essentially being told, "Welcome to the country where you already live.
Now, media outlets that reported on this over the weekend couldn't even keep a straight face. Uh, MS Now did a whole segment on it. And all of the panelists, everybody that just cracking up laughing the entire time because this is genuinely just dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb. This is a man who has no idea how anything works, which is very unfortunate for those of us on planet Earth because he's in charge of how things work for the United States and by proxy how things work for a lot of other countries and he doesn't know how anything works. He can't even figure out a basic passport. Now, here's the kicker. And this is something that people weren't talking about when discussing Donald Trump's latest uh uh stupid moment. Be good. Be good. You know, don't break the law. So says the 34time convicted felon. I don't have any felony convictions. Hell, I don't even have any arrests. I've I've been pretty boring or at least good at not getting caught. Uh, so the guy with 34 felony convictions is telling the rest of us be good. Like, I hope everybody sees the irony there. And he would have had even more than 34 felony convictions according to his own lawyer had he not won the 2024 presidential election. But yeah, let's listen to the convicted criminal when he tells those of us in our country, "Welcome to your own country, I guess, don't do what I did." Right?
