It's been roughly a year since Republicans in Congress moved heaven and earth, worked overnight, worked over the weekends, worked through holidays in order to pass Donald Trump's one big beautiful bill. And yes, that is in fact what they called it, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which of course now as we're approaching the midterms, they're actually trying to change the name of it to like the Tax Cuts and American Families Act so that it doesn't sound so damn stupid. But one year on, how has that piece of legislation changed the lives of Americans? Well, the answer is a lot. Tens of millions of Americans have had their lives personally changed by that legislation. And it's all worse than anybody could have imagined. It is estimated that roughly two uh 22.3 million Americans are going to lose their SNAP coverage over the next few years. 22.3 million Americans.

So far, one year in, more than five million Americans have lost their SNAP coverage. Nearly half of those are children. So more than two million children lost access to food, right? Because we were told when this legislation was being proposed, when they were going through all the deliberations and selling it to the public, SNAP is filled with fraud. We've got able-bodied people not working and we've got to kick them off, right? Kids, kids. Those are the people who got kicked off. Kids who cannot and should not have jobs at, you know, 10, 11 years old. That's just collateral damage that Republicans didn't want you to think about while they were passing this highly oppressive legislation so that they could give themselves and their donors nice little tax breaks. We've also seen millions of people, roughly five million in the last year, same as the number kicked off SNAP, uh lose their health care coverage.

They've lost health insurance because the one big beautiful bill act and subsequent inaction by Republicans in Congress caused the Affordable Care Act subsidies to expire. Without those subsidies, millions of Americans are no longer able to afford health insurance. So they simply don't have it anymore. So we have more starving people, more starving kids, and less health insurance because of Republicans and Donald Trump. They worked as a team. It is inseparable. They did this to America. But what about jobs, right? I mean, the whole purpose of cutting Medicaid and SNAP was we got to get people back to work, right? So obviously employment has gone up, right? No, no, unemployment went up. In fact, America has hemorrhaged 77,000 manufacturing jobs throughout all of Donald Trump's second term in office. The manufacturing sector in the United States, which Donald Trump claimed he was going to expand, and it was going to be like never before, the golden age of America, right? 77,000 jobs lost on top of a reduction of billions of dollars in manufacturing investment. So, not only are we losing manufacturing jobs, we're shrinking the overall sector. It is not growing, it is contracting. And the few manufacturing companies that of course are trying to hire people, uh, what they've said is, uh, they're unable to find workers.
