DNA analysis confirmed the identity on December 22nd, 2025. The cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
Ashlee Buzzard, aged 40, was arrested on the morning of December 23rd, 2025, at her residence in Vandenberg Village, California. She has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bail at the Santa Barbara County Jail. Authorities, including Sheriff Bill Brown, described the alleged crime as calculated, premeditated, and involving significant evidence linking Ashlee Buzzard to the act, including ballistic matches between items found at her home and the scene. No motive has been established, the murder weapon remains unrecovered, and investigators believe she acted alone. Ashlee Buzzard has reportedly remained uncooperative.
