How did Nazi Germany invaded Poland? I will answer that question in this video. In August 1939 Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union signed the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. They carved up Poland. On the 31st of August the Gleiwitz incident took place. Operation Himmler had started. The following day Case White (Fall Weiss) was carried out. Shots were fired at the Polish garrison on Westerplatte. The Battle of Westerplatte took the Germans one week to win. Meanwhile the German forces overran the Polish plains and what followed was the Siege of Warsaw (1939). Three weeks after the start of the German invasion of Poland the Soviets invaded Poland from the east. The eastern defences were very weak because the Polish army expected an attack from the west and not from both sides. The Soviet invasion of Poland (1939) was brief.
