How did Poland become independent? In this video you will learn about the history of Poland and the short-lived state: the Kingdom of Poland. It was created by the Central Powers during the First World War. Poland was captured from Russia by the Germans. Józef Piłsudski saw a change for an independent Poland. However, this led to the Oath Crisis. After the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk an independent Poland seemed far off. However, after the German Spring Offensive and the 1918 Armistice there were new chances... Learn more about this short-lived nation named the Kingdom of Poland in Polish history.
