11:15Now PlayingThe Morgenthau Plan was a plan to partition Germany. This plan was drafted near the end of World War II by Henry Morgenthau Jr. who was assisted by Harry Dexter White. Germany would be divided into a Northern German and Southern German State. Also there would be an international zones. Others plans, drafted by Theodore N. Kaufman, Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt, were also considered. Eventually the Morgenthau Plan was not carried out. In this video you will learn why.
