YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe formation of Saudi Arabia can be traced back to the mid-18th century when Muhammad ibn Saud, the ruler of the Najd region, formed an alliance with the religious leader Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab. This alliance laid the foundation for the first Saudi state. Over the years, the Al Saud family expanded its influence, consolidating power in the Arabian Peninsula through a series of military campaigns.
During the 19th century, the Ottomans controlled parts of the Arabian Peninsula. However, the Ottomans faced internal challenges and external pressures, allowing the Al Saud family to gain control over much of the interior.
In the early 20th century, Abdulaziz Al Saud, also known as Ibn Saud, captured Riyadh in 1902 and continued to expand his territory. Following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire after World War I, Ibn Saud consolidated his control over the Arabian Peninsula, officially establishing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on September 23, 1932.
