Bondi was removed as the US attorney general in the Trump administration. Bondi and the justice department have faced criticism over their handling of the Epstein files, including failing to redact the names of victims.
Trump posted on Truth Social that Bondi "will be transitioning to a much-needed and important new job in the private sector”. She has been succeeded by Todd Blanche, who will be the acting attorney general.
