Fighting the Islamic State, U.S. Considers Arming Ukraine, Signs of Economic Improvement

This week, Islamic State militants released a video showing the barbaric execution of a Jordanian pilot held captive since December. As Jordan stepped up its fight against ISIS, the terrorist group reported that a Jordanian airstrike killed an American aid worker being held hostage. Doyle McManus reports on the global reaction to a particularly gruesome week of fighting. Plus, the United States is considering whether to send lethal aid to Ukrainian forces fighting Russian-backed rebels invading Eastern Ukraine. European leaders including Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande met with Putin in an attempt to curb the violence. Back at home, the January jobs report showed positive movement for the U.S. economy where 257,000 jobs were added. And in the early 2016 presidential campaign, the fight over whether the government should mandate vaccines for children took over the debate.
