How Corrupt Democrats Have Destroyed California! says Butch Ware Running For California Governor

Butch Ware, the Green Party write-in candidate for California governor, explains to Jimmy that he is not a liberal or Democrat and never will be, and that he attacks Gavin Newsom's homelessness policies "harder than any Republican ever has" because his father spent decades on the streets. Ware notes that the Golden State spent $25 billion on homelessness programs while the homeless population grew from 120,000 to 187,000—money he says went to Newsom's developer buddies and the "poverty industrial complex."

Ware argues that average Trump voters are not more racist than average Democrat voters, but rather they "don't see a difference between blue criminals and red criminals" and want lower taxes, which is why his anti-corruption, anti-war message has drawn support from independents and right-leaning voters across the ideological spectrum.

Ware proposes universal single-payer healthcare covering mental health and addiction treatment, housing first policies funded by taxing corporations like Blackstone and BlackRock that hold thousands of vacant properties to manipulate the market, and divesting California tax dollars from "incinerating children" in Gaza and Iran to instead fund education. He notes that he is only a write-in candidate because Democrats kicked him off the ballot for minor tax return redactions, but that voter turnout is so low that finishing in the top two is possible—especially with support from California's million Muslims and the 18-24 youth demographic—and that if he betrays voters, he "wouldn't win another election" and is fine with that.
