Taylor and Ethan follow John through an exploration of his role as a practitioner and a facilitator. John draws on Plato’s cave cycle, Aristotle’s shift from sophia to phronesis, and modern 4E cognitive science, the conversation introduces a powerful framework: moving continuously between abstract understanding and embodied practice.
They examine:
• why propositional thinking alone leads to disconnection
• how dialectical practice and dialogos restore participatory knowing
• the role of trust, risk, and communal meaning-making
• how to avoid turning spiritual practice into self-help techniques
This episode is the first in a three-part series exploring theory-to-practice, practice-to-theory and the relationship between. If you would like to join John, Taylor and Ethan in practice, all three of them will be facilitating TIAMAT Tier 1 in Toronto this May;
