"Our Voices" is a video series that gives a voice to the voiceless. Join the Jubilee Project as we tackle type 2 diabetes, often termed the "silent killer" because of its chronic but deadly nature.

Type 2 diabetes is a chronic illness that causes high blood sugar resulting from insulin resistance. It represents one of the largest global burden of disease, affecting 350 million people globally and 1 out of 4 Americans. Diabetes is often correlated with issues of lifestyle, such as diet and exercise, and is also prevalent in low and middle income countries where more than 80% of diabetes deaths occur.
