1:57:30Now PlayingA homeless veteran accused police of lying about his dog biting an officer before the officer tased it on October 13. A judge recently ordered the Gastonia Police Department in North Carolina to release the bodycam footage from the incident. The man, Joshua Rohrer, was arrested for panhandling and resisting arrest. While an officer attempted to place Rohrer in handcuffs, his dog apparently bit another officer in the boot and ventured toward the arresting officer, jumping onto the squad car. The officer who was apparently bit tased the dog. On July 6, Rohrer pled guilty to driving with a revoked license under a plea agreement, which led to the other charges being dropped. The dog, who survived the incident, died a few days later after being hit by a car.
