On Wednesday, the interrogation videos focused on Kenneth "Lil Woody" Copeland talking about his "beef" with Donovan Thomas Jr.'s brother, Shell Kell, and the death of Thomas that happened in a drive-by shooting. Copeland repeatedly denied being involved with his murder, saying he did not have a problem with the "IF" gang member. In another interrogation video, Lil Woody talked about defending his family in a drive-by shooting that happened while his ex-girlfriend and their daughter were at their home.

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.
