9:45Now PlayingBefore wrapping up cross-examination Thursday afternoon, prosecutor Christopher Hamner asked Robert Telles if he had deleted any text messages between himself and his wife. Telles said that he did not recall doing so. Hamner then showed jurors a picture of Telles’ wife’s Apple Watch that showed she texted him “where are you?” at the time Jeff German was murdered. The text was deleted from Telles’ and his wife’s phone, but not from the Apple Watch.

Robert Telles is accused of murdering Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German. After German had written several articles about Telles, a public administrator at the time, he was found stabbed to death outside his home in September 2022. Prosecutors claim Telles’ DNA was found under German’s fingernails. Telles has pleaded not guilty and says he was framed for the murder.
