9:12Now PlayingDuring cross-examination Thursday, Robert Telles admitted that he was afraid that the articles Las Vegas reporter Jeff German wrote would damage his future and career. Telles sent several texts saying he was nervous the controversial articles would follow him for the rest of his life. Using these texts and Telles’ admissions, prosecutor Christopher Hamner tried to point to the motive as to why Telles would allegedly kill German.

Robert Telles is accused of murdering Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German. After German had written several articles about Telles, a public administrator at the time, he was found stabbed to death outside his home in September 2022. Prosecutors claim Telles’ DNA was found under German’s fingernails. Telles has pleaded not guilty and says he was framed for the murder.
