3:34:11Now PlayingSt. Simons Island dentist Suzanne Mericle is set to be sentenced in the shooting death of her boyfriend, James Barron, at a Lake Lanier home. Prosecutors say Barron had locked himself inside a bedroom during an argument when Mericle allegedly fired a shot through the door, striking him in the torso. First responders later found him unresponsive, and he died from his injuries. Mericle was charged with malice murder and felony murder in connection to the case, with her sentencing now expected to determine her fate.
