James Shirah, 24, had pleaded no contest to multiple charges after fatally striking 29-year-old Terry Lewis Taylor Jr. with his vehicle following a fight at his wedding celebration. Prosecutors said Shirah drove off, returned moments later to hit Taylor, then fled the scene and didn’t contact police until the next day.
