23:14Now PlayingErik Mendoza was sentenced to life in prison on Friday and can file for a release petition after 50 years. He pleaded guilty to five of six charges against him, including first-degree intentional homicide and second-degree recklessly endangering safety for the death of 5-year-old Prince McCree. In July 2024, David Pietura, his co-defendant, was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the death of McCree. The judge spoke to both the victim and the defendant’s families before delivering the sentence and said she hopes they find peace.
