Speaking to the BBC, Curtice said: "Leave supporters in particular have just basically gone back to being extremely doubtful about our politicians, about our system of government.
"It isn't just Brexit - it's also other domestic policy challenges."
Ibbett highlights that while Labour is gaining support from various groups, there is no deep enthusiasm for the party itself or indeed for Keir Starmer.
